No Phones For Me!

Brian

I'm Brian, and I've never used a mobile phone. I prefer talking to people face to face. At work, I use a landline or email. My friends say I'm old-fashioned, but I like it this way. I enjoy reading books in my free time, not looking at a screen. Last month, I went camping and didn't miss having a phone at all. It was peaceful. My sister always tries to convince me to get a smartphone, but I'm not interested.

Jenny

Hi, I'm Jenny. I stopped using a mobile phone two years ago. It's better for my mental health. I spend more time outdoors now, gardening or walking. My family thought it was strange at first, but they see how happy I am. I keep in touch with friends through letters or when we meet in person. Last week, I joined a photography class. We use cameras, not phones, to take pictures. It's a new hobby for me.

Tom

My name is Tom. I've never owned a mobile phone and don't plan to. I run a small bookshop and talk to my customers directly. My wife uses a phone, but I don't feel the need for one. I'm more focused on the people around me. My daughter thinks I'm missing out, especially with apps. But I manage well. I enjoy listening to the radio and reading newspapers to stay informed. Last year, I organised a local book fair without any social media. It is possible!
