Marketing Team Meeting

Tom: Morning everyone. Not great news about the summer campaign numbers...

Rachel: I've just seen them. 50% below target! The CEO is furious.

Mike: Well, we need to figure out what went wrong before our meeting with her tomorrow.

Anna: I think I know part of the problem. Our adverts were running at the wrong times.

Tom: What do you mean, Anna?

Anna: Most of our target audience is aged 25-35, but we were showing adverts during daytime TV.

Rachel: That's true. Plus our social media posts weren't getting much engagement.

Mike: The visuals weren't great either. Too corporate, not enough personality.

Tom: The CEO said the same thing. She mentioned our competitors' campaigns look more "authentic."

Rachel: We could fix this. What if we use real customer stories instead of actors?

Anna: And focus more on Instagram and TikTok rather than Facebook?

Mike: Good thinking. We should also consider using influencers who actually use our products.

Tom: Budget might be an issue though. We spent a lot on the failed campaign.

Anna: Maybe we could create content in-house to save money?

Rachel: Our design team is quite good. They could definitely handle it.

Mike: And I know some of our customers would love to share their experiences.

Tom: We need to move fast though. The CEO wants a new plan by Friday.

Rachel: Let's split up the work. I can start contacting customers tomorrow.

Anna: I'll draft a new social media schedule focusing on peak times.

Mike: And I'll work on a budget that shows how much we'll save by doing it in-house.

Tom: Perfect. One more thing - we should probably apologise to the sales team.

Rachel: Definitely. They're having a really tough month because of this.

Mike: I'll send them our new plan as soon as it's ready.

Anna: And maybe buy them some coffee and biscuits too!
