A Deeper Look

'Practice' (with 'c') is the noun - it's the actual thing or session. In British English, we use this when we're talking about the activity itself.

'Practise' (with 's') is the verb - it's what you do. In British English, we use this when we're talking about doing the action.

I need to practise my piano scales.

Doctors practise medicine for many years before becoming specialists.
