Emily: Hey John! Do you have a minute?

John: Sure, Emily. What's up?

Emily: Mom's birthday is coming up. I'm thinking about a surprise party.

John: That's a fantastic idea! When is her birthday?

Emily: It's next Friday. Are you free that evening?

John: Yes, I am. What do you need me to do?

Emily: Can you invite her friends? I don't have all their numbers.

John: Absolutely. I can call them today.

Emily: Great! I'm buying the decorations and food.

John: Do you need help with that?

Emily: Actually, yes. Can you pick up the cake?

John: Sure. Which bakery?

Emily: The one on Main Street. They make her favourite chocolate cake.

John: OK. What time is the party?

Emily: Let's have everyone arrive by 6 p.m. Mom comes home at 6:30.

John: Perfect. Are we having it at our house?

Emily: Yes, in the living room. I'm setting everything up.

John: Do we need music?

Emily: Good point! Can you create a playlist?

John: Yes. What kind of songs does she like?

Emily: She loves classic rock and some jazz.

John: Alright.

Emily: Thanks, John. You're a big help.

John: No problem. Anything else?

Emily: Just make sure not to mention anything to Mom.

John: Of course not.

Emily: I'm so excited!

John: Me too. I enjoy surprising her.
