Beginner Listening Practice

My Day at College

Hello, I am Emily. I am a student at the local college. Every morning, I wake up at 7 a.m. I eat breakfast and get ready for class. I walk to college because it is close to my home.

My first class starts at 8 a.m. I study mathematics. In class, I listen to the teacher and take notes. I ask questions when I do not understand something. After maths, I have an English class. We read stories and practise speaking.

At noon, I have lunch in the cafeteria. I sit with my friends. We talk about our classes and plans for the weekend. In the afternoon, I go to the library. I do my homework and read books.

Sometimes, I have a group project. We work together and share ideas. At 3 p.m., I finish my classes. I often go to the gym. I like to exercise and stay healthy.

In the evening, I return home. I help my family with dinner. After that, I study a bit more or watch TV. I go to bed at 10 p.m.

I enjoy my day at college. I learn new things and meet interesting people. Every day is different and exciting.
