Overview
What is it? In Part 6, you need to write a short message, like a note or email.
What do you do? Write at least 25 words and answer three questions or points in the task.
Why? To show you can write simple messages that other people can understand.
How to Approach
- Read the task carefully to understand what kind of message to write and who will read it.
- Look at the three points you need to write about.
- Think about what you want to say for each point.
- Write a rough version first.
- Make sure your message is long enough (25 words or more).
What Examiners Look For
The examiners check if you can:
- Write messages that are easy to understand
- Answer all three points in the task
- Use the right kind of language for your message
- Write enough words to complete the task
Tips
- Write naturally, like you would in real life
- Check that you've answered all three points
- Count your words to make sure you've written enough
- Use simple, correct English instead of trying difficult phrases
