Personality Adjectives Dominoes
As in normal dominoes, students have to lay down their dominoes so that like meets with like. In this game, the correct personality adjective must be adjacent to a quotation that would be said by that type of person.
Language Parts Dominoes
As in normal dominoes, students have to lay down their dominoes so that all like language parts (noun, verb, article, etc, etc) are together.
'Going to' card game
There are fuller instructions for this game on the page itself. It's a game to practice 'going to' future that works best as a whole class thing.
Expressions of Time
I use this as a 'race and place' activity. The sheet is cut up and students have to put the cards into one of the baskets marked 'in', 'on', 'at' or 'nothing'. After the first attempt, I step up and say something like 'all correct but for 3' and they reshuffle them.
So...Because
Students are given the start of a sentence and need to finish it off using either "So" or "Because" depending on the toss of a coin.
Easter Day Anagrams
Starting with the words "Easter Day", students are put into groups and given a time limit to come up with as many words as possible using these letters only.
