A Piece Of CakeTarget Language: Food vocabulary, I like/don't like.Description: Children have strong emotions about food (yuk!!) and this lesson uses those emotions to practice like/don't like as well as teaching/revising some food vocabulary. The lesson finishes with a guided writing practice where students use prepositions of place among other things.

Were You There?Target Language: Past Simple of the verb "to be", feelings and animals vocabulary, time expressions.Description: Students begin by being prompted to talk about where they were or where other people were at specific times in the past. Students further practice the past simple of 'to be' while using adjectives to describe emotions and feelings. After a fun rhyming game, there is a guided speaking activity to get students using the past simple of 'to be'.
