Let's Go To The BeachTarget Language: Function: Suggesting, persuading.Description: Functions based lesson. Use of expressions such as "why don't we....", "let's..." and "how about..." including a look at the grammar of such expressions. Two freely communicative speaking activities give students a good chance to use what they have learnt.

I'm Going To Play TennisTarget Language: Planned future: "going to" as opposed to "will".Description: Speaking oriented lesson tackling the difference between going to and will future forms. First part of lesson sees some work on the difference between them but most of the lesson includes speaking activities based around going to.

Room For DiscussionTarget Language: Objects in a living room, describing position, there is/are structure.Description: A simple vocabulary activity based on items found in an average living room begins the lesson. After doing some work on positional prepositions and phrases, there is a speaking activity in which the students get to practice also their drawing skills! A definition game ends the lesson.

Shopping SpreeTarget Language: Shopping vocabulary and expressions.Description: Students think about what they would be in a shopping spree, before reading about what a famous celebrity would do in the same situation. Some focus on shopping-based functional language. The lesson finishes with a fun speaking activity in which the students buy things off each other!

Our Readers Would Like To KnowTarget Language: Role Play: interviewing a famous rock star.Description: Students find out about the sometimes rocky past of a famous musician. The class is divided into journalists and musicians for the press conferences. The journalists work for different magazines and their readers are interested in very different things!

Party PartyTarget Language: Parties: vocabulary, accepting\declining an invitation.Description: Everything from party vocabulary to reading invitations, deciding whether to accept or decline them - and students even get to do a Party Organizer role play.

BASE JumpingTarget Language: BASE jumping, interviewing a celebrity and writing article about it.Description: A general lesson on the extreme sport of BASE jumping, which includes a reading comprehension, some vocabulary work and a journalist/famous BASE jumper role play at the end.
