Beginner
ePalsTarget Language: Guided writing, introducing yourself, online pen pals.Description: Students learn how to write first about their hometown using descriptive vocabulary, then about themselves, in order to reply to online penpal adverts.

Let Me Introduce MyselfTarget Language: Written introductions, capital letters, Present Simple questions.Description: While learning how to put together a paragraph talking about themselves, students also learn the rules of capitalization in English and how to respond to personal questions.

Elementary
Black Swan HotelTarget Language: Imperatives, giving instructions and advice.Description: The Black Swan Hotel in England has a few problems today. Students have to indentify the imperative verb form being used to give instructions to the hotel handyman. The lesson finished with a game in which the imperative is used to give instructions and advice.

A Friend VisitsTarget Language: Giving directions, following instructions, the imperative.Description: At the beginning of the lesson, students talk about what there is to see in their own towns. There is some practice at following directions on a map, before students listen to a "spoken" pen-pal letter where a friend talks about her hometown and says how to find her house. The lesson finishes with some freer spoken practice at giving directions.

The New ClassTarget Language: Present Simple, Getting to know people.Description: Can be used as an ice breaker with a new class or a class that hasn't had the chance to get to know each other very well. Focus on using present simple questions to find out about other students in the class. After a listening, lesson ends with a very active game.

An Evening OutTarget Language: Going Out, functional language of inviting & suggesting.Description: An initial survey about going out in the evening is followed by an exercise looking at the structures involved. A pairwork speaking exercise follows and the lesson ends with a card-based speaking game which will get your students moving around the classroom.

My Sister SueTarget Language: Personal description vocabulary, vocabulary records.Description: Descriptive vocabulary for describing hair, eyes, clothes, personality, etc. A brief reminder about good vocabulary keeping methods before students work on common errors and finally describe family members to their classmates.

Write To Me!Target Language: Letter writing, review of elementary grammar.Description: Some basic letter writing and organising skills are taught, focusing on paragraph content and ordering too. Another letter is used for an error-correction exercise to review this level's grammar.

Bored BettyTarget Language: Vacation/holiday activities, adverbs of frequency, inviting and suggesting.Description: A lesson that focuses on functional language of suggesting/inviting. The listening is an informal conversation between friends as they try to plan what to do together.

Checking InTarget Language: Checking into a hotel. Role Play.Description: Using functional language that your students will often find useful, this lesson looks at the hotel check-in. After the two-part listening comprehension, students will role play a check-in themselves.

The RestaurantTarget Language: Discussing solutions to improve a business.Description: Students talk together about their eating out preferences, then prepare for a role play activity in which they solve (hopefully!) the problems of a fictional local restaurant.

Let's Go To The BeachTarget Language: Function: Suggesting, persuading.Description: Functions based lesson. Use of expressions such as "why don't we....", "let's..." and "how about..." including a look at the grammar of such expressions. Two freely communicative speaking activities give students a good chance to use what they have learnt.

Shopping SpreeTarget Language: Shopping vocabulary and expressions.Description: Students think about what they would be in a shopping spree, before reading about what a famous celebrity would do in the same situation. Some focus on shopping-based functional language. The lesson finishes with a fun speaking activity in which the students buy things off each other!

Party PartyTarget Language: Parties: vocabulary, accepting\declining an invitation.Description: Everything from party vocabulary to reading invitations, deciding whether to accept or decline them - and students even get to do a Party Organizer role play.

Students WelcomeTarget Language: Writing a letter for information, using formal/informal language.Description: Students read a letter from a language school they are interested in attending and then write a letter to the family they'll be living with, to get more information. Focus on formal/informal language choices and structure of this type of letter.

The Travel BugTarget Language: Basic composition, descriptive vocabulary and phrases.Description: Students read a descriptive description of a vacation trip and then brainstorm other similar vocabulary in preparation for their own short composition.
