The Old ParkTarget Language: Causative / Have Something Done.Description: A lesson based around an old park and the repairs that need doing in it. Students learn the function of the causative and get to use it themselves in a reading and speaking exercise.

Turn Off That LightTarget Language: Talking about saving energy, listening to radio interview.Description: The core of this lesson is a 6m 45 second radio interview in which an expert on light pollution discusses the negative effects and possible solutions to city lighting becoming an environment issue. Students also discuss other ways of saving energy and their own opinions on light pollution.

Poor And PoorerTarget Language: Describing photos, vocabulary of poverty/politics.Description: Students give their opinions at the start of the lesson on a range of topics such as poverty/aid/3rd World development, etc. Short reading extracts are used to teach/revise vocabulary in this topic field. The final part of the lesson pulls all of this together, getting students talking about photographs taken in the developing world.
