I Don't Play The PianoTarget Language: Present Simple negative, musical instruments.Description: Practice of forming negative sentences using the Present Simple followed by using this while speaking about musical instruments. A short reading and a transformation exercise is followed by a speaking activity where students create a chain sentence.

Home Sweet HomeTarget Language: Where is/are? Where do/does? Vocabulary: rooms, furniture, days of week.Description: Students get practice talking and writing about different family members doing different things in different parts of the house. The second half of the lesson gives practice in asking questions using Where is/does, etc.

SeasonsTarget Language: Vocabulary: months, seasons. Present Simple revision.Description: After a fun drawing dictation warmer, students get to categorize vocabulary by seasons and then get to practice the months of the year. We're Going To Have FunTarget Language: 'Going to' future, positive and negative forms. Vocabulary: simple collocations.Description: The focus of this lesson is using 'going to' to talk about future plans and the lesson begins with a fun mime game using 'going to'. There is a simple collocation vocabulary exercise which focuses on free-time activities. The lesson finishes with an enjoyable speaking activity which gives practice at using the negative form.

What's Going To Happen?Target Language: 'Going to' future, revision of Present Simple & Present Continuous. Vocabulary: motion verbs.Description: The start of the lesson sees a focus on using the 'going to' future to make evidence-based predictions ("he's going to fall in the hole!"). After a vocabulary exercise that teaches motion verbs such as 'run', 'dive' and 'jump', students do some work combining the verbs with 'going to'.

Were You There?Target Language: Past Simple of the verb "to be", feelings and animals vocabulary, time expressions.Description: Students begin by being prompted to talk about where they were or where other people were at specific times in the past. Students further practice the past simple of 'to be' while using adjectives to describe emotions and feelings. After a fun rhyming game, there is a guided speaking activity to get students using the past simple of 'to be'.
